Coolrite Service Engineer Raises €3,500 for Irish Red Cross, Ukraine Crisis Appeal

Raymond Brady a Coolrite service engineer has €3,500 for the Irish Red Cross, Ukraine Crisis Appeal. Ray offered to shave off his long hair and beard if the team at Coolrite could raise the target amount of €3,500 in 1 week. Raymond had been growing his hair for 3 years. You can see in the before and after photos above that Raymond made a big sacrifice in giving up his long hair.

There was great generosity shown by all the team at Coolrite with many donating substantial amounts to hit the €3,500 target. Several customers heard about the fundraiser and offered to donate too.

The Red Cross have been one of the first to distribute humanitarian aid on the ground in Ukraine and thus were the obvious choice for a charity to raise funds for. More than 4,000 Red Cross volunteers are responding and are delivering urgent assistance such as food, water, fuel for heating, hygiene items and medical supplies. In neighbouring countries (Belarus, Hungary, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russia and Slovakia), Red Cross National Societies are also urgently responding and are providing life-saving support to people arriving from Ukraine. Red Cross volunteers are distributing food, water, bedding, clothes and basic aid items on both sides of the border and are providing medical care and support for those in need.
